I have been a member for 10 years and never had a problem. Shipping is fast and when you catch them on sale, the prices aren't bad. Regular prices are very high and you can usually get them elsewhere much cheaper somewhere else.

I have been quite please with columbia house. I remember my father being very frustrated years ago with the service, but I decided this past Christmas to try it out and it has been an over all good experience , I love that I can respond to the directors selection online makes it so much easier,

    good value missing some good movies.

i like the columbia house promotions that get you to sign up and join. I do not like the fact that they don't have some of the best movies ever made.no "AVATAR" no "Cars" and IRON MAN 2 is out of stock, they seem to be lacking some real quality and popular movies. The prices for their older movies aren't bad you can get some for as little as $3.95 and if you take advantage of the intro offer, you still get a great deal on 5 or more movies even after you buy the required dvds to complete your membership requirements.i don't like the directors selection part of the membership. i think they use that as a means to get you to keep full priced movies because you forgot to respond or neglected to return the movie. overall I say not bad if you are a movie fan

    What happened to Columbia House ?

Lately Columbia House's offers have sucked. I used to get 8 DVD's for $.49 + S & H. Now they put it down to 3 ? Maybe this is a good time to end association with them and make the move to purchasing Blu-Rays at the store or other websites since they have no significant discount on those or initial free offer. Their business must be good. Enough that they don't need my business anymore. Their offers have been found wanting lately.

I have been a member of ColumbiaHouse for at least 10 years and I think it is a great value. Sure you can get great buys at Target and WalMart, but you have to drive to get there and you never know what is going to be a great buy until you get there. Shopping on line;and if you can wait out the rush to have the latest movie, you can bundle movies that are a month or so older that release date, you get even a better deal. ColumbiaHouse used to charge you for the entire order, before all your movies were shipped. Now they charge as they are delivered. Nice improvement.

I still have not figured out if 60% discount on DVD's or free shipping on a large order is cheaper. Well none the less the savings are great.

There customer service is great they don't push you into odering more when you call and I have experiences where I would be offered free shipping if I did order past my commitment. I always come back. What I do miss now though is the 1800#. I have to use the computer to fulfill my order because I don't have the 1800# that I use to be able to call when ordering or declining my monthly director selection.

Overall the pricing you can't beat and like I've said they arn't pushy at all.
