    Newton running shoes saved my life

I was running 30-40 miles a week. In November of 2000, I developed a mysterious pain in my left heel that a dozen podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons and chiropractors could not diagnose. I was depressed from having to give up my favorite sport. Then a friend told me about Newton running shoes. To say they saved my life is an understatement. I'm back running and completely pain free. I adore my Newtons. Since starting to run in Newtons in May 2008, I have qualified for Boston at each Marathon I've attempted - 5 in all. Prior to wearing Newtons, I was within 10 minutes of a BQ, at my best! Swear by them. My running buddy had the same experience as I did after getting a pair! There is nothing like them...they are a PR in a box, for sure!

I've been running for over 30 years and have finally found the perfect shoe. I am a midfoot/forefoot runner by nature and when I heard about the Newton shoes from a friend I couldn't wait to give them a try. I was due for a new pair of shoes and went to the closest Newton dealer I could find in the Chicago area. From the moment I slipped these shoes on I knew that we were a good match. Although I was advised to break them in gradually, they felt like "home" from the first time I took them out for a test drive. I tried to be patient and break them in as suggested, but I couldn't help myself. The first week I had them I put over 25 miles on them and ran pain free for the first time in many years. Not only was I more comfortable in the shoe, I was faster and what they claim about recovery was true for me as well. I had been running in New Balance for 12 years and thought I'd never change. After one pair of Newton's I will never run in anything else. These are great shoes!
