    Hertz bought Thrifty and Dollar and now they all suck

I am dealing with Thrifty right and now and OMG what a mess of a company it is. Their logic for their rates going up and down everyday and they say depends on the availability of cars. What the heck??? I am not renting until May 2, 2011 and the rates they are showing depend on car being available now???????? What B.S. It is all hocus-pocus. I rented in December and it was a better company to do business with but, since Hertz bought them...they stink. It is all price=fixing and no competition because the big companies buy out the other companies so there is no one to compete with so the rates don't come down much if at all....And the big huge added expense is the surcharges of $100.00 and more if you rent at an airport like Tampa. Really Florida, can you afford to turn travelers off. Your state is in one economic mess....I will not visit this state again. It rips us off and it does not deserve our business. Let's boycott Thrifty and Florida...that sounds like a great plan...

Rented from San Juan airport. Quick service, Got a kia rio (you get what you pay for). Decently clean. Overall satisfied.

I hate this company I recieved a bum car and when I took it back I had only went 17 miles because the car shook so bad . We took the trolley all week . when I took it back and told them they said they would talk to the mgt. and get back with me . I have never heard a thing and that was 5 months ago . poor customer service at San Antonio location .

I love Thrifty car rental when flying in and out of Houston. The ease of hopping the bus at the airport which takes you right over to the rental mall. The friendliness of staff at Houston and the cars are clean. When I had a problem they have even upgraded to the next model.

I like Thrifty airport parking in Seattle too!

    Thrifty Not so Thrifty for Multiple Drivers!

While searching for the best car rental rates, I found that Thrifty had one of the lowest rates. I was preparing to finalize my rental when I discovered they add a charge for additional drivers- 10$ per day- even if the driver is your spouse! The addition of this extra charge put them higher in cost than some of the other companies I had originally dismissed! If you're renting solo then they have great rates. But beware of the "extras" if you're planning on bringing someone along!

    Minivan to the Rockies

Great price. Not so great vehicle. We ended up with 4 cylinder minivan to head to Beaver Creek,CO. The vehicle was from New Mexico. It did not have the power to get up Route I-70. We were really pushing the engine. Make sure you get a 6 cylinder or greater.

    Thrifty - Value for Money Car Renting

In April 2008, I decided to take my family to Anaheim, CA to visit Disneyland for 1 weeklong vacation. I searched for online coupons and finally got a ultimate sexy deal and rented a Chrysler 300 for just $110 for a week even when the pickup and return locations were different.
