Adamo XPS: World's Thinnest Laptop

The brand-new Dell Adamo XPS 13 is the World's Thinnest Laptop. It is an ultra-portable computer that is super thin and very light, yet is solidly constructed, features an HD display, is surprisingly fast, and offers a long battery life.

Many people were impressed with how thin the MacBook Air was (it is the thinnest Mac notebook), yet they wanted something similar in a PC. The Dell Adamo XPS doesn't just deliver on this wish, it blew it away. It is only 9.99mm thin, which is just 0.39" thin. On the other hand, the MacBook Air is 0.76" thick, making it about 95% thicker than the Adamo XPS.

This isn't to say anything bad about the MacBook Air, it is very thin and light compared to most laptops out there. However, it just doesn't come close to the sleekness of this new Dell Adamo XPS 13.

Including the standard battery, it weighs a scant 3.2 pounds. Yet it feels solid and strong, despite to compact size and puny weight.

It also has plenty of hot features, including a 720p HD widescreen (16:9) 13.4" display. There is a built-in 2.0 Mega Pixel camera and a digital microphone. It has a speedy ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, for fast processing.

The Dell Adamo XPS 13 laptop comes with 4GB of 800MHz dual channel DDR2 memory. It also has an incredible fast and reliable 128GB solid state drive. It comes with the 64-bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium.

This laptop has all the top networking options included, such as 3x3 802.11n wireless networking (Ultimate Wireless N WiFi), Bluetooth 2.1, and 10/100 Mb wired networking (via dongle). It has DisplayPort, 2 USB 2.0, headphone out and audio out connectors. It also offers RJ45 and DVI ports via dongle, and has optional dongle support of VGA and HDMI connections.
