5 Stars Delta has reasonable fares

I am very pleased with Delta airlines.

The website is very user friendly and every date that I needed for travel was available with good seats and ticket price. Also, I called customer service and they were very courteous. I will always fly Delta airlines.

3 Stars Flying Delta

I fly Delta regularly, however some on the staff could use some customer service training. Other than that I really enjoy flying through Delta.

4 Stars pretty good

I generally have no complaints about Delta. There are often delays during the holidays though. The in flight experience has always been fine. I appreciate that I can always get a non-stop flight on my favorite trip route.

1 Stars Delta Airlines experience made me cry

It was last June 2010 from New York to Roanoke, VA it took me two days of cancelled flights. I finally got a flight out of United Air...I was in shock because there wasn't any snow storm. They kept moving the gates where you check in to get on the flight. It was a horrible experience. On top of it you have to pay for your bags.

3 Stars Customer service nightmare

Delta Airlines was my preferred airline for many years. However, in the past couple years, since the merger with NW Airlines, I have received increasingly terrible customer service. I've worked in customer service in various postions for many years, so I understand the importance of treating customers right. And inversely, I understand the importance of not taking things out on customer service reps. However, with Delta, I've been treated rudely, given conflicting and incorrect information, and not received follow-up on issues that ultimately cost me thousands of frequent flier miles. The problem seems to be that Delta representatives have no desire and/or authority to make things right for customers. Even after jumping through the hoops of filing complaints via phone, emails and even fax, I've received the same "we can't do anything for you" responses. It just means more wasted time for me, and no resolution to my issue.

Granted, the in-flight experience is generally pretty good. In-flight movies, and even certain flights with individual interactive tv screens, are a great touch. But it's up to you to decide if it's worth the hassle dealing with customer service should an issue arise.

Overall, Delta has been great in the air...just not so great on the ground. I would give them 5 stars for in-flight service, and 1 star for customer service, so I'm meeting in the middle with an overall 3/5.

4 Stars great service

Delta has been wonderful. Flights are always on time and service is great. Not once have any of my flights been late and I always get great service from the front desk to the flight attendants. The planes are usually pretty clean and the attendants are always friendly and helpful.
