As much as people like buying coupons from restaurant.com, they also regret it. Sure the price might sound good whatever so, but sometimes restaurants will not take them. Why you may ask? Well because restaurant.com sells coupons without restaurants permission,or a restaurant may ask them to discontinue the coupons with them, but they continue to sell the coupons. At the end you get a disappointed customer all thanks to restaurant.com. Before you buy a coupon here, call the restaurant you would wish to buy it for, and ask if they accept them.

I went to a nice sushi place and paid very little because of their coupons. There are some caveats to using the coupons (only used on certain days or certain restaurants). The selection of restaurants isn't too bad and its a good way to test out a new eatery without spending too much.

Its annoying to fulfill their requiremnts but it does save a lot of money and is fun to get stuff for cheaper i highly reccomend this website

If I can't find a gift certificate on restaurant.com I don't eat there.

They regularly have 80% off which is a great deal.

You may want to call the restaurant and double check before you buy tho, my parents bought it online, got to the restaurant, and found a big sign on the door "no longer accepting restaurant.com". The site allowed an exchange in that case! Great site, wish more restaurants would join.

This is a great way to get gift certificates cheaper than what the face value is. You can buy them and use them yourself, or give a gift that seems like you spent more money than you did. A $25 certificate is $10, although they offer promotions making them as cheap as $2 at times. You can enjoy eating out without paying so much. There are rules about when and how to use them, so read before you purchase. The issue is that many of the restaurants available are new and many don't make it and close. Then you have to exchange the certificate, but that is not hard to do.

By signing up for a service, I received a $50 "certificate" from Restaurant.com, giving me the impression that I could spend $50 at a restaurant of my choosing. (Yippee, a free dinner!) Not so. The "certificate" was only valid for a specific amount off of your bill, which was determined by the restaurants on the list--say $25.00 off if $50.00 was spent. A mandatory tip was to be paid by the holder of the certificate regardless of the quality of the cuisine/service. At any time, the "participating" restaurants could choose NOT to honor said certificate, so one had to inquire when making reservations (and even upon arrival) if the certificate would still be valid! When checking my account online, I had $50.00 credit one instant and $0.00 the next, presumably due to an "identity theft" issue (A person apparently guessed my number and ordered $50.00 worth of certificates before I even had a chance to review the list of restaurants!). Although the customer service person was very helpful and considerate in rectifying the matter, the incident did not give me much faith in this company.

This has worked for me at my favorite local restaurant. I hope to try out some more soon. Read the fine print and use coupon codes to bring down the price.

You buy a gift certificates for 50% off - ex a $30 gift certificate costs $15

They email you a certificate with a code number, or you can print one from the website.

Even better: You can find discount codes for bigger discounts later in the month.

Search for "Reastaurant.com discount code" and you can get an additional (sometimes 70) percent off the sale price.

(70% off of $15 means that for $4.50 you get a $30 gift certificate)

Later in the month there are new codes for bigger discounts.
