The default configuration has a starting price of $1,799, and is packed with power and quality. The case in made out of strong, yet lightweight, anodized aluminum in your choice of colors: Space Black or Lunar Silver.

The default processor is the 2.4GHz Intel Core2 Duo P8600 (3MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB) and there are a multitude of upgrade options for CPU. At the highest end is the most powerful mobile processor in the world–the 2.53GHz Intel Core2 Extreme Quad QX9300 (12MB Cache, 1066MHz FSB).

It comes with Vista Home Premium (64-bit), but you can upgrade that to Vista Business or Vista Ultimate.

With a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M installed to start, this has some incredible 3D graphics power for a laptop. However, you can step it up to SLI with dual GeForce GTX 260M or dual GeForce GTX 280M options. Imagine the 3D gaming power for dual nVidia GTX SLI in a notebook PC!

The starting screen is a WideXGA+ 1440x900 pixel (900p) display, but you can step it up to a WideUXGA 1920x1200 pixel (1200p) display. That would be higher than full 1080p HD resolution, so just imagine how good Blu-Ray movies, hi-def videos and video games will look on this computer.

To start this system is loaded with 4GB of deal channel DDR3 memory running at 1066MHz, but there are numerous upgrade options. At the top end you can put in 8GB of dual channel DDR3 memory running at 1333MHz.

It starts with a 250GB 7,200 RPM hard drive with free fall protection, and again there are many upgrade options to consider. For example, you can upgrade to a single 500GB drive, dual 500GB drives in Raid 0 (for high performance), or dual 500GB drives in Raid 1 (for data protection.)

Storage options even include Solid State Drives (SSDs). You can opt for a single 128GB or 256GB SSD to have incredible game load times and the reliability inherent in eliminating the moving parts of a normal hard disk. For the ultimate in storage performance, you can even get two 256GB SSDs in Raid 0 configuration.
