Jazz, a 10-part series by acclaimed filmmaker Ken Burns, tells the monumental story of America and its music. This epic film has been in development for over six years and contains 75 interviews, over 500 pieces of music, 2,400 still photographs and over 2,000 historic film clips - many rare and never-before-seen. Both the videocassette and DVD contain scenes not included in the original PBS broadcast which begins on January 8, 2001. This is the third film in Ken Burns' trilogy of American life that began with "The Civil War" and continued with "Baseball."
