Save an EXTRA $100 off Dell Vostro 1720 laptops with a list price over $1400 with the stackable Dell coupon code: 55JKH3KPP1$D0L

Stackable Dell coupon code are pretty rare, especially for $100 off laptop computers. That's because they are especially good offers, because unlike regular coupon numbers that give you a discount in place of existing deals, stackable coupons provide discounts on top of the existing savings.

For example, the Ultimate Performance model of Dell Vostro 1720 laptop has instant savings of $388 plus free shipping. With this stackable Dell coupon code of $100 off, you end up with $488 off + Free Shipping. Quite an incredible deal on an awesome notebook PC!

The Dell Vostro 1720 is a laptop computer with a 17" screen. If you order the Ultimate Performance version it is loaded with features and power, yet is just $799 (after $388 in instant savings from the starting price of $1187.) Plus there is free shipping.

To save the extra $100 off, you need a list price of more than $1400. This means you need to add a little over $200 in upgrades. Although this model is pretty high performance, there are number of upgrades that would be quite useful.

Starting off this Ultimate Performance Vostro 1720 laptop has some really cool features. Among the highlights is that it has the 64-Bit version of Vista Ultimate installed. Since this is typically a $150 upgrade from Dell.com, it is really cool to have this included. This notebook also has a 17" LED display, 4GB of memory, a 320GB hard drive and is Deep Cherry Red. See below for more included features.

  • Windows Vista Ultimate 64Bit
  • 17.0 inch WXGA+ Anti-Glare LED Display
  • 2.2GHz Intel Core Penryn T6670
  • 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz
  • 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with Free Fall Sensor
  • 8X DVD+/-RW with double-layer DVD+/-R write capability, Roxio and Cyberlink PowerDVD DX 8.1
  • Integrated 1.3MP Webcam and Digital Mic with webcam and video chat software
  • Deep Cherry Red
  • Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500M HD
  • Norton Internet Security 2009 15-Month Subscription
  • Wireless 1397 802.11b/g Mini Card
  • 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery

As you can see from above, this configuration starts with basically everything most people would need. However, there are a few upgrades you may one.

Although the 2.2GHz Intel T6670 CPU is quite good, faster is always better. Stepping up to a 2.26GHz P7570 for $85 would probably be a good upgrade for most people. Other options include a 2.4GHz P8600, a 2.53GHz P8700 or a 2.66GHz T9550 with a whopping 6MB of L2 cache.

The base config also lacks a powerful graphics card with dedicated video memory. If you play PC games or need high performance video decoding for watching hi-def videos, consider adding the 512MB nvidia GeForce 9600M GS for $109. It will make 3D games and high definition video faster and more fluid.

Although the WXGA+ base display has a relatively high resolution of 1440x900, an even high resolution screen can display images with enhanced detail, can show full 1080p HD movies, and can allow you to be more productive with more data on the screen at once. For $167 you can upgrade to the 17" Premium UltraSharp WUXGA Display with TrueLife, which has a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. This is a whopping increase of 78% over the WXGA+ display.
