5 Stars Only Place to Buy Games

GameStop is one of the few surviving video game stores for a reason. They have every game you could want for very cheap if you're willing to buy used. And even if you buy new, it's cheaper than any department store.

I only wish they still sold retro games and consoles, but unfortunately you can't really get those anywhere nowadays.

Even still, it's the greatest place to buy games, their staff is passionate and cool, and the online store is fantastic as well.

5 Stars WHAT A GREAT STORE!!!

I HAVE 1 12 YEAR OLD BOY, AND 1 9 YEAR OLD GIRL. WE BUY ALL THE GAMES FOR THEM AT GAMESTOP IN CHEEKTOWAGA, NY (A SUBURB OF BUFFALO, NY). WE HAVE XBOX, PLAYSTATION 2, AND THE WI. EACH OF MY CHILDREN HAVE NINTENDO DS. WE ALL BELIEVE GAMESTOP HAS THE VERY BEST PRICES AND SELECTION. ALMOST EVERY ONE OF OUR PURCHASES ARE USED, NOT NEW GAMES. WE HAVE NEVER, ONCE HAD A PROBLEM WITH A USED GAME. THEY ALWAYS WORK PERFECTLY!!!! ALSO WHEN WE CHECK OUT AT THE REGISTER, THE WORKERS ARE VERY KIND AND EXTREMELY INFORMATIVE AND HELPFUL EVERY TIME WE GO THERE. WE ALSO ENJOY VERY MUCH RECEIVING THE 10% DISCOUNTS OFF OUR PURCHASES. MY DAUGHTER ENJOYS THE FACT WHEN SHE BUYS NINTENDO DS GAMES (SUCH AS COOKING MAMA, BARBIE, ETC..) THE GAMES ARE ALWAYS THERE AND IN STOCK FOR HER. ITS NICE TO BE ABLE TO FIND GIRL GAMES THERE FOR HER TO PICK FROM. THANK YOU GAMESTOP ON UNION ROAD IN CHEEKTOWAGA, NY 14225 FOR BEING THERE. OUR WHOLE FAMILY LOVES YOUR STORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 Stars Great Prices

You don't always have to buy a brand new game. I purchase alot of games for my PS3 from game stop. the prices are fair and you can save alot of money buying used games. I recently purchased Ninja Gaiden for my PS3 and haven't had any problems and saved about $30 compared to me buying it from my local retail store

4 Stars Great Selection and Used Games

Gamestop has the best selection of games especially including their used games. They have whole walls full of new games, and more walls of used, cheaper games. I love the selection because it always has the best games and the newest games. They even offer preordering so you know you are getting the game you want the day it comes out.

3 Stars Cool Games, High Price

Gamestop has the coolest games and even have the new games when they are released the same day. There is such a huge amount of games to choose from it is hard picking from the different systems, and walls of games before you. The prices for the games are high in my opinion. I don't like paying $50 for a new game. That is a bit expensive. The used games are a little bit cheaper, which help some, but the newly released games never are used and cheaper.

4 Stars GameStop: Great for Used Games

Gamestop is a great store to find used games in. They have a good selection of used titles and it is easier to buy because it is cheaper than paying full price for the games. Their stores are cool because they always have games that you can try in the store. It makes it interesting going inside. Some of the prices are a little high sometimes, but they are not any different than other retailers prices.

5 Stars Brick and mortar.. NO. Online, YES.

The gamestop website is the only way to go. Free shipping for over $25. Lots of inventory. Good specials going on constantly. Recently took advantage of a buy one get one free offer on used games that saved me a bundle! I like the website a lot!

4 Stars Good Selection

There is a good selection and we like that we can buy used games there. We have traded in a few games and you don't get much money for them but it is worth it when you have 3 gamers at home.

3 Stars Mixed bag

Pro: Store associates are extremely helpful, wide variety of new and used games, generous inventory of new games and systems, great deals on trades.

Con: I have yet to buy a used game that works the first time. Every used game I've bought has been defective upon purchase and had to be exchanged for another copy. Since they keep game systems in the store, this is careless for the employees doing trades/buybacks, or the method of storage (they store cd-based games in unpadded paper sleeves in filing cabinets) causes the games to get damaged. Though the store has always been cool about exchanging them, I shouldn't have to make 2-3 trips to buy a game. If anything, after the gas and time spent, I'm better off buying the game new or used online from a higher-priced dealer.

5 Stars The place to go for any games, counsel, or accessories

Whether you know your way around the latest games and players or you haven’t got a clue

This is the place to go. In my case I did not know the difference from a cube to a DS. I wanted a cool gift for my grandson and needed expert advice. I went to a game stop store and they set me straight. The friendly and knowledgeable staff will take the time to help you buy the right games and products.. The products are well laid out and you don’t have to spend all day becoming an expert to make a purchase. From the first time I shopped at a Game Stop store and every time since I have been able to buy just the right products to for my grand kids. They think Grandpa is the coolest and really knows allot about the latest electronic games they want.

Thanks to the employees of the game stop stores I spend less time shopping and always walk out satisfied knowing I have made a wise purchase.

Thanks again, from the coolest Grandpa my grandkids know.

2 Stars Online is the way to go

Gamestop's online store is fine. Gamestop the store is awful. They have overpriced games that are sometimes not new even when they claim that they are. I'd steer clear of here.
