Backordered DMP-BD85K Blu Ray Player
I ordered a Panasonic DMP-BD85K Blu Ray Player in late November or early December. Although the order went through, I received prompt notification that the player was on back order and would clearly not be available until at least after Christmas. I accepted that and waited. It arrived in mid-January. I have purchased many products from Panasonic Direct and my experiences have all been positive. Just my story.
DON'T SHOP PANASONIC DIRECT
Panasonic direct had a very good deal on blueray player. I ordered on Nov 28. Order confirmation and order staus on site looked good. O12-15, I became worried and called in asking where my order was. I was informed that it was on backorder and would not ship till January 15. I would never havce been told if I had not called. I don't think they ever intended to honor that good price. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
Panasonic Terrible service
I also ordered a BD-85k from the panasonic website on black friday. Same run around. I heard that the website was compromised and the prices were altered. They are now stating that all of the blu ray players are on backorder, hoping that we ask for a refund and buy it somewhere else. They are phasing out all of their non-3D players anyway.
Good Prices/Bad Service
I ordered a Panasonic DMP-BD85K Blu Ray Player for the Black Friday price of $137.99( after tax it was $149.00 and some change )the confirmation email said that the estimated shipping date was 11/26/2010 which was the same day( Black Friday )I was ordering it. The email also stated that it would send me a email when the product was shipped and would be sent one to three day shipping by, UPS there were 6 in stock at the time of my order.
One week later, friday 12/03/2010 no email has arrived in my inbox and no product has shown up on my door step. I call the customer service number and wait for 44 minutes on the phone( when I first called there is a automated service that asks if you will take a survey about the phone call after the call is over I answered yes and it said it would call me back in 30 minutes. I got the call back before being answered by the customer service rep so I hung up to see how the call would turn out )when the rep answered I explained my issues and she stated that the shipping department was off on Black friday and the weekend and snowed in on monday. I then asked if that was the reason for the delay in shipping and she said no that there had been many orders on black friday and they may have sold out therefore my order may be on back order in the order it was recieved which could take two to three weeks. I then asked if I would recieve it before Christmas she said she had no idea and that they would be happy to refund my money if I did not want to wait.
This is my first time buying a Panasonic product, the ratings were good on the product, the price was great, I know this is the holiday season so I expect shipping to be slow, however I do expect a business who to capitalize on great sales and good market share to actually have the product available in reality when they sale it and more ambition to resolve my issues then we have your money and you will get your product when you get it attitude. As for how I am going to address this problem, if I don't get the product by next week I will never buy another Panasonic product ever. If I don't get it befor Christmas I will spread the word to family and friends and across the nation to any who will listen or read.
Pleased with experience.
We ordered some accessories. The site was very easy to use and the checkout procedure was easy and quick. We were pleased with product selection, availability and delivery times. There is a small shipping charge (less than $5). And we did have to pay state & local sales tax. Servers seem a little slow on check out.
I am excited to try out the Panasonic camcorder with the built in hard drive
ER224 Cordless Trimmer
Very versatile. Great for trimming unwanted hair anywhere and everywhere. Easy height adjustment. Cuts evenly and precisely. Holds a charge for a very long time...I'd guess 2+ hours of use. Extremely happy with this product.
