shopping at office max is always so fun and they have EVERYTHING! every year i go school shopping here and find evrything i need! also the staff r very helpfull and know where everything is!

    Generally Good

If I can't find an item at Office Depot, I can generally find it at Office Max. I check Office Depot first because I usually shop for these types of items online. Office Depot tends to have more and better coupons and the regular prices are about the same. If it wasn't for the coupons, I would shop Office Max more often. You still get good deals there.

Office Max has some great deals now and then Regular prices may not be so fantastic but you can get some good deals.

    Great service on return covered under warranty

I purchased a shredder from an Office Max store a year ago along with a 2-year warranty. The shredder started to have problems a few weeks ago. I called the # given with the warranty & they took care of me immediately.

The rep sent me via email an USPS postage paid doc with instructions. We had kept the box the shredder came in, repacked it, went to the post office & had no difficulty sending it back to Office Max at no cost to us.

I received within 10 days an Office Max gift card for the amount we paid for the shredder as well as the warranty amount. We will be buying another shredder there soon!

    Excellent Customer Service

I just visited an OfficeMax at the apache junction az location, and I found it to be a very pleasant experience, which now a days is not very often you find people that have great customer service. I had put a printer on hold and was coming in to buy it, so Kyla the sales associate, got my printer from the back, I asked about ink and she not only told me what type I needed but she physically showed me where to get the ink for the printer (without me even asking), explained how how much I would save if I purchased them as a packaged deal. Then at check out there was another sales associate that was checking me out and they both explained to me about MaxPerks and in detail how it worked. Which is great because I'm over half way to gettiny my free $25 now. Then they also explained all the benefits to getting the warranty with out rushing me. So then when I went to pay for my Printer, Ink & Warranty I needed to pay with 3 different credit cards and neither one looked at me or treated me like a pain customer (which I was being a pain customer having to pay with 3 cards), I was the only one that was concerned about causing them to spend more time on me & do more work, they were both very pleasant & made me feel like I wasn't being a pain. After I was done checking out, without even asking, Kyla picked up my Printer and said I'll help you to the car with this, I said I could carry it but she insisted it was heavy and she would love to help me. After we got everything in the car, she went back in the store and I had started to drive away & I was about 30 feet from the store & I see Kyla running after me to give me my receipt and Maxperks cards I had left on the counter. I thought that was great, I didn't have to get home and realize I left it and then have to go back up to the store (which I've had happen at other stores). I really had a wonderful experience at your store tonight and I really think that if you have a customer service award, it should be given to Kyla and the other girl at the register. Thank you for a great shopping experience.

Every time I've walked through the doors there was someone asking if I needed help even if they were stocking the shelves or working with someone else. There were all very knowledgeable, well except for the cashier as can be expected. They are very helpful getting you the best value - I got one guy to give me the online discount in store. I love shopping here. They even have a promotion prior to the start of the school year in August where they give you a paper like, like you get at the grocery store, and fill it up and get 20% off everything you can fit in it.

We have use office max for most of our office supply needs. They are knowledgeable and helpful if we have questions, and items are easy to find. Shopping at Office Max is always a quick and simple task, I know i will find what i need and be checked out in no time at all.
