5 Stars     great experience returning opened DVR player

I returned a DVR right after Christmas as I found a better deal at the store for a home entertainment system. I was worried about returning the DVR as my husband opened the box and took the item out. I was anticipating a return to stock fee and was relieved to not have to return the item and receive back less than I paid for it. Thank you Best Buy for a pleasant return experience.

Sales person was overly pushy when looking for a computer. Bordered on being rude and we went elsewhere for our purchase because of that. He also tried to sell us things we didn't need. On another note, the gentleman that helped us with a sound system was pleasant and knowledgeable. Muskegon,MI store.

4 Stars     Decent Store with Decent Prices

I just want to say that I love going to Best Buy. I even love shopping around the store. But I rarely come out with anything I want outside of DVDs on sale. The stores are usually clean, nicely laid out, and most of the employees are nice enough. I usually don't buy anything that isn't on sale or without a coupon because the prices are pretty hefty. A lot of the times I prefer to shop around the store and end up ordering from an online retailer.. I wish the prices were better, I really would be there more often if they were.

2 Stars     Be Cautious

You need to be careful when it comes to shopping at Best Buy. They don't always state what is true on their website. They will state, for example, installation included, when they mean to say, "Basic installation included". For automatic car starters unless you have a bare-bones basic car a Basic installation is only for your basic cars...not for your very common Honda Accord...that will add an additional $238. I recenlty purchased an iPod docking station online and had to return it because it would not charge my 3rd gen iPod Touch! And, they shorted me $3 on the return! Just be careful!

Best buy has come a long way. My husband and I used to call it worst buy, because they either did not have help( to assist in spending money) or a product that did not hold up. Now they seem to have hired or trained people that know and care more

5 Stars     Best Buy has best product extended warranty packages available, bar none!

My son tells me to buy my electronic devices only at Best Buy because of there extended warranty. He has had to use it more than once because of children with their IPods and Xbox, playstation. I was shopping with him lately and he said I had to buy at Best Buy. My only complaint was long checkout lines.

I love best buy instead it seems there are not enough prices or the selection is very high. Otherwise I h=love the customer service. I just don't like the exceeded price for not high rated items. Everything is usually stocked and best buy has acessories that other places don't have.

For whatever I am shopping for, Best Buy alway has knowledgable sales people. I feel that I can make a more informed decision on the product I am buying after talking to someone in the store. They are also very polite. Shopping there is always a stress free experience.

unfortunately I've bought electronics elsewhere and I regret all of them. At Best Buy I always get the most knowledgeable staff and best information. I just got a car stereo from Crutchfield that was to come with all of the installation gear. I called tech support and was informed I had to buy an $80 adapter.I told him when I called the first time I was told this was all I needed and it says that right on the order. He apologized and said I could return it. At least I can now go where I should have the first time and get what I need at Best Buy. That's where I learned what I wanted before Santa found a better deal, well not better and not a deal. Thank you Best Buy!

We are getting on in age (closer to 60 than 55) and quite frankly do not understand most of the new technology and become quickly intimidated by it all. Normally we walk out of stores because the "kids" are too busy to assist.

That is not the case with the folks at Best Buy who have come to our rescue on more than one occasion. They are trained well, come in all age groups and get it that we are not techno geeks so they do not talk above our heads.

From a 55" LG 3D TV, to Wii, to XBox, to games, music, movies and an IPod, ($5,000 so far) we are satisified customers who recommend them to who ever will listen to us. By the way, when you get on in age and if folks do not listen to you, they don't want advise, so let them go to the other stores and deal with the kid salesfolks. That will let me get to the front of the line just that much quicker.

I have found the Best Buy's in our area to be very friendly and they generally have a very good return policy. I have also ordered several things on-line and have not had any problems with the orders.

I went shopping for a window air conditioner unit and some video game hardware. I was assisted quickly by one of the associates who helped me find what i was looking for quickly, then handed me off to the appliances person who found me what i wanted on clearance! Easy deal and no pressure.

For the most part I really love the Joliet Best Buy. Recently though, I was purchasing several items and instead of one salesperson staying with me to finish my purchases I had to wait until someone would help me. This was very frustrating and made my shopping trip much longer than it should have been.I have a medical condition which made it extremely painful to stand waiting for sevice.There is no place to sit..

I have been on the phone for an HOUR!!!

I have just spoken to 8 people over an installation of my flippin Microwave. I made a purchase last night and was told that an installation was $30.00 and that someone would call me TODAY which NO one did. I called this evening and have been explaining over and over that I just want an installation!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the 8th person just told me that the install is $119.00 and not $30.00.

Now waiting for a manager to call me back!!

This is NOT the way business should be conducted and I want you to know that I am done with Best Buy!
